Foods & Wines of Italy
The beauty of Italy’s food is in its gastronomic diversity. Each area is loyal to its specialties and ingredients and recipes change from the mountains to the coast, from the south to the north, and the mainland to the Islands.
The regionality is historically attributed to the individualism of sovereign states that made up Italy until the nineteenth century; to foreign influences; and to the geography that saw rice and polenta grow in the North, wild boar find a home in the forests of central Italy and tomatoes and aubergines prosper in the sunbaked South.
Chef Gennaro & I are delighted to welcome Chef Valerio Busnelli & sommelier Nick Constantine of Flint Wine Merchants.
